Have you been doing work around your property to reduce the risk of wildfire? Have you been thinning out small trees and brush, but don’t know what to do with the leftover piles and slash?
The Kittitas County Conservation District runs a Chipping Program in partnerships with the county and state partners as a free resource to landowners. Landowners are responsible for preparing their own piles to be chipped, but crews come and take care of the rest.
You can find out more information and how to register for upcoming chipping opportunities at the KCCD website (www.kccd.net) and at their Wildfire Fuels Reduction page.
